Sharing Site Access in Gridshare

Summary

Installations of the Lunar ESS often have organizations outside of the original installer with an interest in monitoring the performance and operation of a system.

That’s why Lunar has developed the ability to share access to individual sites. This functionality allows installers to link their Gridshare organization with a third party, and then share individual installations with them. This gives third party owners (TPOs), or other interested parties, access to Gridshare fleet monitoring capabilities for the site in line with that of the installer.

This Applications Note describes the site sharing feature for Gridshare.

Linking your account with a third party

To ensure that sites can only be shared with known third parties, the linking of Gridshare organization accounts is currently managed by Lunar.

If you require your Gridshare organization account to be linked with a third party, contact your Lunar sales representative. Or email support at: installersupport@lunarenergy.com

Sharing site access

Once your Gridshare organization account has been linked with a third party you will have the ability to share individual sites with this organization through the “groups” section of the site page.

To give a third party access to a Gridshare site:

1. Use the search bar to find the site by its Site ID or Site Reference.
2. On the site page click Groups
3. Click Add site to group

4. Select the third party you would like to share the site with from the dropdown

5. Click Add site to group to confirm this action

6. Group associations for the site will be updated on page refresh

Note: Site sharing gives full access to the third party to carry out changes and update settings at the site.
